- At first 245 candidates were declared winners but the Guardian Council rejected the credentials of Mehdi Zamani elected from Varamin before beginning of the 12th Majles. https://tinyurl.com/y535mef2. MP Masoud Pezeshkian resigned his seat in July 2024 when he was elected President.

Important remarks:
• According to the spokesperson for the Election Headquarter, 12% of all registered candidates were female, 22% were veterans of the Iran-Iraq War, and 2% had served in previous rounds of parliament. Furthermore, 28% of applicants were between the ages of 30 to 40, 37% were 40-50 years old, 26% were 50-60 years old, and 9% were 60 to 75 years old.

• Comparison of provincial voter turnout rates provided by the Election Headquarter (https://tinyurl.com/mrx6u52f) against all previous elections date shows that 17 of Iran’s 31 provinces (or 51%) experienced their lowest voter turnout rates of the last 4 decades.
