In 2011 the Ministry of Industries and Mines and the Ministry of Commerce merged into a single Ministry of Industries, Mines and Trade. The Ministry of Industries and Mines itself had been established in 2001 by the merger of the ministries of “Industries” and “Mines and Metals”.
