Note:

In Iranian elections, voters do not need to vote where they are registered. Thus voter turnout may exceed 100% when visitors (i.e. voters not registered in a given place) happen to vote there. This was apparently the case in the province Markazi (Central Province) where voter turnout was recorded at 132%. While the number of eligible voters was 521,344, a total of 689,927 are recorded to have cast their votes in Central Province. A possible explanation for this massive turnout is that many visitors and pilgrims may have voted in Qom (which was a part of the province at that time), instead of voting in their province of residence.

Members Elected

Note:

The Assembly of Experts consists of 86 members (all Shiite mojtaheds). This list comprises more individuals as it includes replacements, i. e. those elected in midterm elections due to the death or resignation of an original member.
